Facebook Set To launch its own ‘Snapchat’
Now you may not require installing Snapchat App on your smartphone because Facebook is in Process of adding its own Snapchat like a tool to its Messenger App.
Facebook Spokesperson confirmed to a publication on Sunday that it is launching a Snapchat like feature “Messenger Day” for its messenger App. The Spokesperson added that feature is being currently tested in Poland.
What you can do with “Messenger Day”
Facebook tool “Messenger Day” will enable you to send pictures and videos to Facebook friends when then self-destruct just after a few seconds a person views them. You can also add a caption to your picture or lens graphic over the top and then send it your buddies.
“We know that people come to Messenger to share everyday moments with friends and family,” the spokesperson said in a statement. “In Poland, we are running a small test of new ways for people to share those updates visually. We have nothing more to announce at this time.”
Think Tanks believe that “Messenger Day” will emerge as a great commercial success as Facebook Messenger has already one billion users in the world.
What is Snap Chat- A brief account?
Snap Chat is a mobile App which was launched in the year 2011. The App enables you to send pictures and videos to Facebook friends when then self-destruct just after a few seconds a person views them. You can also add a caption to your picture or lens graphic over the top and then send it your buddies.
You can add it to “Story”, which is a 24-hour collection of your pictures and Videos, and then broadcast it to your friends.
Your followers can take a screenshot of your Videos and pictures and save it on their desktop. As per May 2014 figures, Snapchat users were sending more than 700 million snaps in a day.
It is said that the popularity of Snapchat had attracted Facebook and it offered $3 billion to acquire Snapchat but its developers denied to accept the offer. Facebook then tried Slingshot to counter Snapchat’s popularity but failed.
